IPL Photofacial

IPL Photofacial

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) Photofacial is a revolutionary advancement in laser cosmetics that with a simple outpatient procedure will remove discoloration and textural irregularities, resulting in the appearance of healthier, brighter and more vibrant skin. If you suffer from age and sunspots, spider veins, broken capillaries, freckles and large visible pores an IPL Photofacial will improve the texture, tone and appearance of your skin.

What does IPL treat?

The face is the most popular area to have this treatment, but you can also treat your chest, hands or neck. In addition to the areas mentioned, IPL therapy is an excellent treatment for the following

  • Hyperpigmentation
  • Excessive flushing, redness and rosacea
  • Scarring and stretch marks
  • Wrinkles and skin texture issues
Understanding the IPL Procedure

Once your skin care issues have been evaluated, Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) will be delivered to the treatment area using the level of energy and settings that we determine best for you. Your skin tissue absorbs the light energy, which stimulates the production of new collagen. This results in the softening of your aging or damaged skin, which allows your wrinkles, uneven texture or other skin concerns to self-correct. You will notice a difference after one treatment, however some patients complete up to six treatments spaced approximately four weeks apart. Although you may be sun sensitive for several weeks, there is little to no downtime between sessions and you may resume regular activities right away.

Are you a good candidate for an IPL Treatment?

To decide which treatment is best for a particular patient, it is necessary to meet with one of our Medical professionals for a free consultation to discuss all possible methods of skin rejuvenation and treatment.
